10:00-12:00 Enjoy the amazing view on the top of the Great Wall. Juyongguan Great Wall is reputed as the “Number One Imposing Pass under Heaven.” Besides its strategic significance, Juyongguan was famous for its charming scenery. The slopes on both sides of this narrow pass are carpeted by a dense growth of foliage, which used to be one of the eight famous scenic spots in Beijing and known as Juyong die cut (Piled Verdure at Juyong). As a gateway to Beijing, sheer cliffs sandwich the pass, and the place looks so thrilling that one man alone could keep 10,000 enemy soldiers at bay (about 2 hours) .

14:00- 15:00 Take a relaxing walk along the Sacred Way with weeping willow trees on both sides, enjoy the peace and tranquility of the atmosphere, taking pictures with those giant ancient sculptures (about 1 hour).
15:30-17:00 Visit Dingling Tomb and Ming Tombs Museum. Dingling Tomb is the mausoleum of the 13th Emperor of the Ming Dynasty Wanli and his two empresses. Being the most exquisite of all 13 mausoleums, it cost more than 8 million tales of silver, equaling two years of landed taxes for the whole country to build it. The museum houses an extensive collection of imperial artifacts, including pottery, jade, stone carvings, and other historical relics unearthed from Dingling Tomb. Here you can learn about the construction of the tombs, the story of the Ming emperor and his family, and the culture and customs of the Ming Dynasty (about 1.5 hours).

Dingling Tomb can also be replaced by Changling Tomb. Changling Tomb was built in 1409 and is the tomb of Emperor Yongle, the third emperor of the Ming dynasty, and his empress. Emperor Yongle's reign (1402-1424) was a period of significant expansion and achievement, including constructing the Forbidden City, sponsoring the compilation of the Yongle Encyclopedia, and several naval expeditions visiting more than 50 regions and countries. Also, this is the first, largest, and most complete one in all thirteen tombs.
