Jinshanling Great Wall is situated at the junction of Luanping County, Hebei Province, and Miyun County, Beijing.  It is about 130km away from Beijing City.  Jinshanling Great Wall was first built in 1386 in Ming Dynasty with a total length of 10.5km and 67 watchtowers.  The whole scene is exceptionally magnificent but perilous.  Thus it has won a good reputation: “Jinshan’s beauty is unique along the Ten-Thousand-Li Great Wall.”

Itinerary
Day 1Jinshanling Great Wall Tour

8:00 Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Jinshanling Great Wall (about a 2.5-hour drive).


10:30 – 14:00 After arriving at the Great Wall, we hike from the west side to the east.  The hike is about 5km and takes about 3-3.5 hours.  The section is famous for the density of the watchtowers, and you can see one in almost every 50-100 meters.  There are thousands of bricks on the Jinshanling Great Wall with ancient Chinese Characters on them.  The characters marked those bricks where and when they were made during that time.  This section has the cable car provided, and you can also take the cable car up/down in a more relaxed way at your own expense.  Enjoy an anthenic lunch in the local farm-house restaurant. 


17:00 Back to the hotel and ended a wonderful day.
