This private tour takes you to two ancient villages in Fangshan District, Beijing, 80 kilometers from the city center.
Nanjiao Village and Shuiyu Village were built in the early Ming Dynasty over 600 years ago. They are much older than the same kind of other ancient villages in the area. Unlike Cuandixia, a popular tourist destination, Nanjiao and Shuiyu ancient villages are virtually undiscovered. All of the cultural relics in these villages are still in their original condition, without any restoration.

Itinerary
Day 1Nanjiao Ancient Village and Shuiyu Ancient Village
9:00-11:00 Your private guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby and drive to Nanjiao Village (80 kilometers away, about a 2-hour drive).
11:00-12:30 Explore Nanjiao Ancient Village. The main path through the village is 1.2 kilometers long and is lined with old shops, temples, theaters, and houses. All the buildings have been preserved in their original condition (about 1.5 hours). Enjoy a local authentic lunch in the family-run restaurant.
13:30- 14:30 Visit the Shuiyu Ancient Village. Some notable attractions in Shuiyu ancient village include the old houses and buildings, which showcase traditional Chinese architecture and design, and the flag pole performances, a form of traditional Chinese martial arts and dance. The 128 stone mills in Shuiyu Village have been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records (about 1 hour).
