7:30 Pick up in the hotel lobby and drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall (about 2 hours drive).

9:30-12:00 Enjoy your Great Wall hiking. Mutianyu Great Wall was built some 1400 years ago in the Northern Qi Dynasty and later rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty in the 16th century.  Along this section’s 2250-meter span, 22 battlements were built at regular intervals.  It is connected with Juyongguan Pass in the west and Gubeikou Gateway in the east (about 2.5 hours).

12:00-13:00 After hiking the Great Wall, you will have lunch at the nearby local Chinese restaurant.  We can help you replace the Chinese meal with the Subway sandwich and drinks near the Great Wall if you prefer the Western style. Then drive to the Sacred Way (about a 1-hour drive).

15:00- 15: 45 Take a relaxing walk along the Sacred Way with weeping willow trees on both sides, enjoy the peace and tranquility of the atmosphere, taking pictures with those giant ancient sculptures (about 45 mins).

16:00-17:30 Visit Dingling Tomb Underground Palace. Dingling Tomb is the mausoleum of the 13th Emperor of the Ming Dynasty Wanli and his two empresses. Being the most exquisite of all 13 mausoleums, it cost more than 8 million tales of silver, equaling two years of landed taxes for the whole country to build it. Dingling Tomb Museum houses an extensive collection of imperial artifacts, including pottery, jade, stone carvings, and other historical relics unearthed from Dingling Tomb.  Here you can learn about the construction of the tombs, the story of the Ming emperor and his family, and the culture and customs of the Ming Dynasty (about 1.5 hours).
